Taxonomy. McLay (1993, as Dromia wilsoni View in CoL ; 2009), Ahyong et al. (2009)

Geographical distribution. Across Indo-West Pacific region, southern Australia and New Zealand, South Atlantic Ocean.

Habitat. Carries sponges or colonial ascidians; intertidal, shallow subtidal to bathyal, to 520 m.
