Type locality. Vietnam (Dak Lak).
Examined material. 6 C and 5 A (SORC-PV.048.01), 14 C (SORC-PV.048.01), river banks of Krong Ana, Yok Don , Dak Lak, 8/3/1989 ; 5 C and 7 A (SORC-V.048.02) same locality, but 14/5/1990 ; 2 C and 1 A (CTU- EW.060.01) same locality, but 11/3/1989; all coll. Huynh Thi Kim Hoi.
Records from Vietnam. Dak Lak (on the banks of Ea'Leo and Krong Ana Rivers) ( Huynh 1998).
Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.
Vietnamese name. Giun cận fluvialis.
Remarks. Material was re-examined and presence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Metaphire is confirmed here.
