Distribution. Laos ( Samphon 1990).

Vietnamese name. Giun Julian.

Remarks. The species was known to only recorded in basin of the Mekong river and its tributaries, but currently expanding northwards. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was reexamined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
