Type locality. Myanmar (Kutkai).

Type material. Indian Museum , India.

Records from Vietnam. Lao Cai (Pho Rang; Sa Pa) ; Ha Giang (Quan Ba) ; Son La (Song Ma) ; Hoa Binh (Mai Chau) (Do 1994; Le 1995a).

Distribution. Myanmar ( Gates 1972; Blakemore 2007a).

Remarks. Thai (1983) proposed a new subgenus Terrata of the genus Pheretima , and placed the species under the new subgenus. Further examination was not possible because all previously collected material has been lost.
