Type locality. Mauritius.

Examined material. 3 C and 1 A (SORC-V.161.03), Ta Ken, Binh Gia , Lang Son, 26/3/1992 ; 2 C and 1 A (SORC-V.161.04) , Bac Giang river bank, Binh Gia , Lang Son, 26/3/1992 ; 3 C and 1 A (SORC-V.161.07) hilly soil, Tan Lac , Hoa Binh, 15/7/1990 .

Records from Vietnam. Commonly found in central and northern Vietnam ( Tran 1985; Do 1994; Nguyen 1994; Le 1995a; Pham 1995c, 2010; Huynh & Nguyen 2004a).

Distribution. Cosmopolitan species ( Blakemore 2002, 2007a).

Vietnamese name. Giun lớn.

Remarks. Its original home is probably in China ( Gates 1972). In Vietnam, it has been rarely found in southern part of Haivan pass in central Vietnam.
