Type locality. Vietnam (Nghe An: Ky Son ).

Type material. SORC, Vietnam.

Examined material. 3 C (CTU-EW.078.02) bamboo forest, Thuong Tien NR, Kim Boi, Hoa Binh, 7/8/2005, coll. Anh D. Nguyen.

Records from Vietnam. Nghe An (Ky Son: Muong Long) ; Quang Binh (Minh Hoa); ( Thai & Tran 1986; Do 1994; Nguyen 1994).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun mường lống.

Remarks. The subspecies can be distinguished from the nominotypical subspecies Amynthas dangi dangi (Thai, 1984) by having three pairs of spermathecal pores in intersegments 5/6/7/8 and by genital markings in spermathecal region ( Thai & Tran 1986). Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was re-examined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
