Type locality. Vietnam (Nghe An: Quy Chau ).

Type material. SORC, Vietnam.

Examined material. 8 C and 2 A (SORC-V.039.02) Muong Long, Muong Xeng, Ky Son , Nghe An, 18/6/ 1986, coll. Tran Minh Khoi .

Records from Vietnam. Nghe An (Que Phong; Quy Chau) ( Do et al. 1995).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun cận morrisi lưng.

Remarks. The species is closely similar to Amynthas morrisi (Beddard, 1895) , but can be recognised by spermathecal pores on dorsum. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was reexamined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
