Type species. Glyphidrilus weberi Horst, 1889 .
Distribution. Tanzania, Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Malay peninsula, Indonesia (Sumatra, Java, Flores, Borneo, Celebes); China (Hainan), Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam ( Blakemore 2002; Chanabun et al. 2013).
Remarks. A total of 3 6 species have been described ( Csuzdi 2012; Chanabun et al. 2013); of these, only one species is known from Vietnam. Records of a second species ( Glyphidrilus ceylonensis Gates, 1945 ), in Blakemore 2008b, based on http://www.mscwbif.org/earthworm/g.php, (currently unaccessible) are not confirmed here.
