Type locality. Mount Lebanon, New York , USA.

Type material. Amerian Natural History Museum New York, USA.

Records from Vietnam. Bac Giang (Hiep Hoa) ; Hai Phong ( Cat Ba Isl. ) ; Hanoi ; Lam Dong (Da Lat) ( Tran 1985; Le 1995a; Huynh & Nguyen 2004a, b; Huynh 2005a).

Distribution. Cosmopolitan species, widely reported from Myanmar, India, Japan, China, USA, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Brazil, Argentina, Southwest Africa, South Africa, Afghanistan, Kazakstan, Central Asia and Europe ( Gates 1972; Blakemore 2002).

Vietnamese name. Giun toàn bắc nhỏ.

Remarks. The species probably originates from Holarctic, and recorded in Vietnam as the name Allolobophora parva . It is usually found in vemi-composts in Vietnam ( Tran 1985).
