Type locality. Vietnam (Thua Thien Hue: Hue).

Type material. SORC, Vietnam.

Examined material. 6 C and 1 A (SORC-V.095.04) An Le, Huong Dien , Hue , 15/5/1985, coll. Nguyen Van Thuan.

Records from Vietnam. Thua Thien Hue (Hue; Huong Dien); Da Nang ; Quang Nam (Phuoc Son) ( Nguyen 1993, 1994; Pham 1995c, 2010).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun nhú đực 3 cánh.

Remarks. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was re-examined and presence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Metaphire is confirmed here.
