Type locality. Panama.

Type material. Unknown.

Records from Vietnam. Kon Tum (Kon Tum) ; Gia Lai (Pleiku) ; Dak Lak (Ban Me Thuot; Cu M'gar) ; Dak Nong (Gia Nghia) ; Lam Dong (Don Duong; Duc Trong; Da Lat) ; Binh Thuan (Duc Linh; Tuy Phong) ( Thai 2000b).

Distribution. Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Cameroons, Congo, Panama, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Costa Rica, Venezuela, and Bahamas ( Gates 1972; Blakemore 2002).

Vietnamese name. Giun sợi panama.

Remarks. The species probably originates from tropical region of Africa ( Gates 1972). In Vietnam, it has been found only in wet soils in hilly areas of the southcentral part and highlands of Vietnam ( Thai 2000b).
