Chaetodromia View in CoL is recognized from other drapetine genera that occur in the New World by the following combination of features: eyes contiguous or nearly contiguous on face, gena extended slightly below eye, postpronotal lobe distinct, divergent and convergent vertical bristles appearing as cruciate pair on each side of vertex, double row of acr present between four pairs of dc that occur along length of scutum, R 2+3 only gently curved towards costa, cells br and bm subequal in length, crossvein bm­cu nearly transverse, and A 1 present but only as fold in wing membrane.
