Micrempis View in CoL (including Allodromia Smith View in CoL ) is recognized from other drapetine genera that occur in the New World by the following combination of features: eyes nearly contiguous on face, gena scarcely extended below eye, antenna with dorsoapical arista­like style, R 2+3 strongly curved towards costa, cells br and bm subequal in length, crossvein bm­cu oblique, and A 1 very weak or absent.
