Type:— NEW ZEALAND. South Island, Moist slopes near runnels on the Rock and Pillar Range , Otago, 1200–1500 m altitude, G. Simpson s.n. (holotype CHR 50011 View Materials !) .
Notes:— Herrick & Cameron (1994) listed AK 106430! as a syntype. However, it cannot be a syntype because the protologue states that the type specimen (singular) was in the Herbarium Plant Research Bureau, Wellington, which today corresponds to CHR ( Wright 1984).
