Diagnostic characters: (1) tegmina with complete white band on nodal line of cross-veins ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 6. 1 A); (2) legs I and II dark brown without pale yellow rings ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 6. 1 E); (3) black-brown markings of tegmina subcircular, also on membrane ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 6. 1 A); (4) disc of hind wings red (rarely dark orange apically) with 2 (1–4) black spots ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 6. 1 A); (5) abdominal tergites red ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 6. 1 A).

LT: 3 (n = 16): 27.3 mm (25.2–30.0); Ƥ (n = 7): 31.0 mm (29.5–32.9). Wingspan: 3 (n = 3): 53.3 mm (51.4–54.7); Ƥ (n = 7): 58.6 mm (54.4–62.7).

Male genitalia: anal tube short ( Figs. 14A, C View FIGURES 14 A – D ) and strongly emarginate apically in dorsal view ( Fig. 14C View FIGURES 14 A – D ), showing strong ventral hump in middle and subbasal dorsal hump in lateral view ( Figs. 14A, B View FIGURES 14 A – D ); pygofer with hump at dorsal third in lateral view ( Fig. 14A View FIGURES 14 A – D ), broader in middle in postero-ventral view ( Fig. 14D View FIGURES 14 A – D ); gonostyli rounded apically in lateral view, dorsal margin with median hump and ventral margin sinuate ( Fig. 14A View FIGURES 14 A – D ); contiguous in postero-ventral view, joining at apex and with teeth projecting latero-ventrad in posteroventral view ( Fig. 14D View FIGURES 14 A – D ).
