Style with apex curved slightly laterally; preapical lobe well developed with some setae. Connective with stem longer than arms, apex broadened and strongly emarginate. Aedeagal shaft elongate, apex extended beyond anterior margin of pygophore; aedeagal shaft gently curved dorsally and then anteriorly, sinuate medially, gonopore apical.

Material examined. HOLOTYPE: male, China, Guangdong Prov., Mt. Dinghu, 19.vi.1983, Coll. Zhang Yalin (light trapped); PARATYPES: China: 1 male, 1 female, same as holotype; 1 male, Hainan Prov., Liangyuan County, 1.vi.1983, Coll. Zhang Yalin; 1 male, 1 female, Yunnan Prov., Mengla County, Mt. Nangong, 17.xii.1999, 1200m, Coll. Dworakowska (NWAFU).

Distribution. China (Guangdong, Hainan, Yunnan).

Remarks.: The species is very similar to B. lucida in color and shape, but can be distinguished from the latter by the aedeagal shaft being more gradually curved dorsally and then anteriorly and sinuate medially.

Etymology. “Para–” means “similar” or “by the side of”, and as this species is close to B. lucida , we gave it the name paralucida .
