Callilanguria wallacii Crotch 1876: 381 . Type locality: Sumatra . Type depository: ZMUC.

Remark. Body length: 10.3–13.7 mm. This species has a unique color within the genus Callilanguria . After examining the type material in ZMUC and many identified specimens by Villiers in MNHN, we concluded that the color pattern of this species is a reliable characteristic. The body is red or orange; the apices of the elytra are black or deep purple. The club is composed of the last five antennomeres; antennomere VII is not very broad. The outer apical angles of the elytra are sharp and somewhat produced. Fowler (1887) and Villiers (1945) wrongly spelled the name of this species as “ C. wallacei ”.

Type specimen examined. Holotype: male ( ZMUC): “ TYPE [blue label] \ TYPE. wallacii, Sumat.

Additional specimens examined. 3 males, 3 females ( MNHN), “Borneo Occ.,Riv Sintang. F Buffat 1905 \ MUSEUM PARIS, 1952, R OBERTHUR \ Callilanguria wallacei Crotch., A. Villiers det.”
