Remarks. Body length: 27.5 mm. Fowler (1885) gave an accurate description of this species. What he omitted is that the elytra extend much further than the tip of the abdomen. Only one syntype is deposited in BMNH.
Type specimen examined. Syntype: female (BMNH), “SYN-TYPE \ Phillipine [sic] Islands \ Gorham Coll. B.M.1927–143 \ Callilanguria eximia Fowler , type \ QR code NHMUK010369276”.
