DIAGNOSIS: Helodermoides tuberculatus and Paraglyptosaurus princeps form a clade diagnosed by the unambiguous synapomorphies 84(0) no increased contact between the supratemporal arches and the parietal and 226(0) posterior marginal teeth not chiselshaped (reversal of an anguid synapomorphy).
