Distribution. Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Grenada, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines ( Saint Vincent), Suriname.

Note. according to Heckman (2011) only the subspecies O. aeneifrons surinamensis Nieser, 1975 (described from Suriname) is present in South America, while Moreira et al. (2011) report that O. a. surinamensis occurs only in Suriname and Brazil.
