Material examined. Hawaiian Islands: Holotype male (6.0 × 4.0 mm) ( USNM 1220315 About USNM ), off southwestern Maui , dredged, 91 m, coll. M. Severns & S. Speer, dredge, 26 October 2012.
Remarks. Castro & Naruse (2014) clarified the identity of the specimens that have been reported with doubt by various authors over the years as “ Latreillopsis cornuta ” (cf. Edmondson, 1951; Guinot & Richer de Forges 1995; Castro 2011), and recognised them as a distinct species, L. okala .
