Additional examined material. 4 specimens “ RSA, NW, 2008 / W of Bothaville / Vaal river / 24.12. Snižek lgt.” (3 LSC, 1 DBET).

Comments. Limnocassis pumilio  is the most widely distributed species of this genus, the only with distribution range in South Africa beyond the Western and Eastern Cape provinces including Kwazulu-Natal, Free State, North-West and Limpopo Provinces ( Fig. 14View FIGURE 14). It is also the only species with a single locality in Zimbabwe ( Borowiec 2002).
