10. Haemaphysalis atheruri Hoogstraal, Trapido and Kohls, 1965a .

An Oriental species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Rodentia : Hystricidae ; adults alone have been collected from Scandentia : Tupaiidae , and Carnivora : Canidae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis atheruri causing human parasitism.
