A species known from central Pacific islands whose adults and nymphs have been found on Charadriiformes : Scolopacidae and Laridae , Procellariiformes : Procellariidae , and Suliformes : Fregatidae and Sulidae ; nymphs alone have been collected from Procellariiformes : Diomedeidae ; while larvae alone have been recovered from Passeriformes : Fringillidae . There are no records of Ixodes laysanensis causing human parasitism.
