A Nearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Rodentia : Heteromyidae . Adults alone have been collected from Carnivora : Felidae , and Rodentia : Geomyidae and Sciuridae ; larvae alone have been found on Rodentia : Cricetidae . There are no bona fide records of Ixodes jellisoni causing human parasitism.
