Distribution. Holarctic; first record for Ukraine.

Taxonomical remark. This species is closely related to Mesochorus vittator (Zetterstedt, 1838) . It differs by the reduced pectination of hind claw (2–3 short basal teeth vs. 4–5 long teeth in M. vittator ), and different coloration of the mesosoma: mesoscutum and propodeum blackish; scutellum reddish-brown, with basomedian black spot; mesopleuron two-colored, with black dorsal third and reddish ventral part; pterostigma pale brownish.
