Remarks

This small Phoniscus was caught with a harp trap in a coffee plantation near the border between Sumber Rejo and Way Canguk Forest. Three specimens come from the Way Canguk Forest (MZB 31519, 35010, 35011). It can be distinguished from Kerivoula species by the presence of a notch at the base of the tragus and a longitudinal groove on the outer face of the upper canines. It is smaller than P. jagorii ( Kingston et al., 2006) .
