Amberana ouvrardi Soulier-Perkins sp. n.

Description. Postclypeus, slightly convex and forming an obtuse angle on lateral view, bearing triangle dimple below frons level and a large sulciform groove below. Ocelli closer to each other than to eyes. Pronotum with two large dimples close to anterior margin, in prolongation of lateral vertex margin; each of dimples accompanied by a second one smaller placed on their external side; no median carina visible. Scutellum as long as wide, bearing three concavities with postero-median one clearly marked. Fore wing nearly 3 times longer than wide. One lateral spine on meta femur.

Coloration. Thorax, head, and legs dark brown to black with the exception of a small red sclerit at base of procoxa. Abdomen red. Fore wings bearing three colours, cream with a large black border starting from tip of clavus, following apical margin and costal margin. The last third of the border along costal margin is red. All the apex of the tegmina between the black borders is red along with base of clavus.

Size. Holotype: total length: 8.81 mm, fore wing: 7.5 mm. Paratypes: total length: 7.99–9.01 mm, fore wing: 6.85–7.53 mm.

Male genitalia ( Figs 94–96 ). Pygofer slightly narrower at lower part than upper part, posteriorly and basally with a narrow prolongation. Pygofer height: 1.45 mm. Subgenital plates long with strongly curved apex oriented dorsally slim, rounded and bearing a pad of short setae, total length greater than pygofer height (1.69 mm). Third basal part of subgenital plate flattened and large, last 2/3 with a diameter nearly constant up to apex. Aedeagus developed anteriorly in a single pointed protrusion, dorsally with two extensions moderately extended, not reaching the level of pygofer dorsal margin, anterior dorsal extension with its apex tomahawk shaped and posterior dorsal extension cogged. Parameres posteriorly with an extension finger shaped, resting on a flattened apex.

Etymology. This species is named after our hemipterist colleague David Ouvrard.
