Amberana dimidiata ( Signoret, 1860) View in CoL

( Figs 33–39 View FIGURES 33 – 34 View FIGURES 36 – 39 )

Monecphora dimidiata Signoret, 1860: 183 View in CoL .

Literna dimidiata Stål, 1866: 64 View in CoL , transferred to Amberana View in CoL by Lallemand, 1949: 71, 72.

Male genitalia ( Figs 36–39 View FIGURES 36 – 39 ). Pygofer with posterior margin regularly curved and presenting a clear protrusion basally like A. brolemanni . Pygofer height: 1.4 mm. Subgenital plates slightly curved and relatively thick all along its length, Apex rounded bearing a pad of small setae oriented dorso-interiorly. Aedeagus developed anteriorly in two-pointed protrusions, both roughly the same size. Aedeagus with bifid apex reaching dorsal margin of pygofer, anterior dorsal extension half length of posterior extension with apex club shaped.

Lectotype designation. Three female syntypes borrowed from the Signoret collection (NMW) were examined in this study. In the Signoret original description there is no mention on the number of the type specimens. However, it was decided here to designate one of the female as lectotype. Subsequently the two other specimens become paralectotypes. Out of the 3 specimens the one in the best state and the least dusty was chosen and used to illustrate the species ( Figs 33, 34 View FIGURES 33 – 34 ).
