Amberana sexguttata ( Melichar, 1915) View in CoL

( Figs 111–117 View FIGURES 111 – 112 View FIGURES 114 – 117 )

Tricephora [sic] sexguttata Melichar, 1915: 15 View in CoL , transferred to Dauphina by Lallemand, 1923: 235. Dauphina lallemandi Jacobi, 1917: 543 , syn. by Lallemand, 1923: 235.

Dauphina sexguttata Lallemand, 1923: 235 View in CoL , transferred to Amberana View in CoL by Lallemand, 1949: 71, 72.

Male genitalia ( Figs 114–117 View FIGURES 114 – 117 ). Pygofer with dorsal margin setting back at anal tube level, posterior margin rounded gently posteriorly. Pygofer height: 1.47 mm. Apex of subgenital plate pointing dorsally. Aedeagus developed anteriorly in two small pointed protrusions, the lower being bigger than the one above. Posterior dorsal extension reaching anal tube level, apex bifid, anterior dorsal extension shorter and apex cut trait. Parameres with a single dorsal extension thumb shaped, apex bearing a hook shaped protrusion on internal face.

Lectotype designation. In the original description, Melichar did not mention how many specimens he included in the type series. In his collection kept in MMB, only one specimen was available. However it is not excluded that Melichar deposited some duplicate specimens in some other European museums. For this reason, this specimen was labelled as syntype by Pavel Lauterer. In order to clarify the status of this specimen, we designate it as lectotype. Any future discovery of additional specimens from the type series will be recognised as paralectotypes.
