Oconee Co., Walhalla, (Craig's Orchard), 12 June 1943, ex Equus caballus , coll. E.V. Prevort.

The chewing louse of horses was reported once in an extension service note. The specimens were identified by Ewing and deposited in the United States National Museum. The same host animal was infested with H. asini .
