Unlisted locations in the state, January 1963 – April 1970, ex Odocoileus virginianus , coll. Kellogg, Kistner, Strickland, and Gerrish (Kellogg et al. 1971, also Walker & Becklund 1970)

Of the two chewing lice of deer T. parallelus might be more common. In a limited study Whittaker & Goff (1979) found T. parallelus­ infested animals to be 20 times more common than those infested with T. lipeuroides .
