Oconee Co., Seneca, date unknown, ex Sciurus carolinensis . Hoplopleura sciuricola is an ectoparasite of tree squirrels including Glaucomys volans , Sciurus spp., and Tamiasciurus spp. throughout the Americas ( Durden & Musser 1994).
