Solenopotes capillatus Enderlin

Unlisted location in the state, December 1954, ex Bos taurus .

The little blue cattle louse, S. capillatus , is a specialized ectoparasite of B. taurus , in Europe and North America. Although Kim et al. (1986) stated that this louse was recorded from “various” localities in North America, no collections were reported from South Carolina.
