Remarks: It is distinguished by having very fine longitudinal costae interrupted at the sutures.

Stratigraphic distribution: It was first described from the Late Cretaceous chalk of Gebel Duwi and it occurs in the Esna Shale only as a single to rare specimens (NAKKADY, 1950). It is abundant in the Maastrichtian of the Esh El Mallaha area.
