Remarks: It is distinguished by distinct, inflated chambers which covered with prominent nodes and spines.

Stratigraphic distribution: It was originally described from the Eocene rocks of the Atlantic Coast. Also, it is recorded in the Paleocene sediments in Egypt by LE ROY (1953). It is found in Early and Middle Paleocene (Esna Shale) of the Esh El Mallaha area.
