Stratigraphic distribution: It is one of the important benthic species in the Paleocene. In this study, it is recorded in the Paleocene and continues to the Early Eocene. This species appears to evolve into another species which the majority of workers have identified as Gavelinella grasserugosa (SAID & KENAWY, 1956; BERGGREN & AUBERT, 1975).
