Remarks: It is distinguished by a flat dorsal side and a conical ventral side.

Stratigraphic distribution: It was originally described from the Lower Cretaceous sediments of the Paris Basin. It is recorded in the Maastrichtian of northern Sinai by SAID & KENAWY (1956). It is found in the Maastrichtian chalks of the Esh El Mallaha area.
