Pl. III, fig. 23

1851. Rotalina girardana REUSS , p. 73, pl. 5, fig. 34.

1956. Gyroidina girardana (REUSS) .- SAID & KENAWY, p. 148, pl. 5, fig. 7.

1959. Gyroidina girardana (REUSS) .- NAKKADY, p. 460, pl. 3, fig. 1.

1985. Gyroidinoides girardanus (REUSS) .- LUGER, p. 110, pl. 8, figs. 2, 3.

Remarks: It resembles the specimens recorded by LUGER (1985).

Stratigraphic distribution: It was originally described from the American Late Cretaceous. Also, it is recorded from the basal Eocene of Maqfi Section, Egypt (LE ROY, 1953) but SAID & KENAWY (1956) recorded a longer range than LE ROY believed. In the study area, it is found in the Maastrichtian and Paleocene Zones.
