Stratigraphic distribution: It is recorded in the Paleocene of North America by CUSHMAN (1927) and in the Paleocene of Gebel Nekhl in Sinai by SAID & KENAWY (1956). It is recorded in the Esna Shale of the Esh El Mallaha area ( Morozovella velascoensis Zone and Morozovella subbotinae Zone ).
