Remarks: This species differs from the other species of Nodosaria in having no tumidity of chamber contour until late maturity. The test has longitudinal thick costae. Stratigraphic distribution: It is recorded in the Esna Shale by SAID & KENAWY (1956) and in the Paleocene Midway fauna by BERGGREN & AUBERT (1975). It is found in the Maastrichtian in addition to the Paleocene zones of the Esh El Mallaha area.
