Remarks: It is distinguished by a central, more or less globular body from which radiate comparatively large, stout tubular projections. The wall of the central portion is smooth while the arms are finely spinose.

Stratigraphic distribution: This species was originally described from the Corsicana Marl of the Navarro Group (Late Cretaceous), Limestone County, Texas. Also, it is recorded in the Esna Shale by LE ROY (1953). It is recorded in the Maastrichtian and Paleocene of the Esh El Mallaha area.
