Remarks: It is distinguished by having fewer chambers and flat to slightly concave sides.

Stratigraphic distribution: It was originally described from the Late Cretaceous of Trinidad and also recorded in the Maastrichtian by LE ROY (1953) and in the Maastrichtian-Danian by SAID & KENAWY (1956). In the study area, it is found in the Maastrichtian zones, but it is rarely found in the Paleocene.
