Remarks: The characteristic features of this species are strongly inflated chambers and small triangular initial stage.

Stratigraphic distribution: It was originally described from the Early Eocene of the Maqfi Section, Egypt (LE ROY, 1953). Also, it is recorded in the Late Cretaceous- Paleocene sediments in the northern Sinai (SAID & KENAWY, 1956). In the study area, it is recorded in the Late Cretaceous, Paleocene and Early Eocene.
