Remarks: It is characterized by an elongate test with a short spine on the initial end and longitudinal costae which extend non-interruptedly across sutures.

Stratigraphic distribution: This species is widely recorded in the Cretaceous and Lower Eocene deposits of Europe and America (LE ROY, 1953). In Egypt, it seems to have a wide range when all records of its occurrence are taken into consideration (SAID & KENAWY, 1956). It is recorded in the Maastrichtian and Paleocene zones of Esh El Mallaha area.
