TYPE LOCALITY: USA, Kentucky .
DISTRIBUTION: N Veracruz ( Mexico) to Nebraska, the Great Lakes, and Pennsylvania, south to Florida and the Gulf coast ( USA); Cuba.
SYNONYMS: crepuscularis, cubanus , mexicanus , subtropicalis.
COMMENTS: Subgenus Nycticeius . Includes cubanus ; see Varona (1974:37); but also see Hall (1981:227). Reviewed by Watkins (1972, Mammalian Species, 23), who did not include cubanus .
