Type Locality: Australia, "Interior of South Australia " (as restricted by Thomas’s lectotype designation; see Mahoney and Richardson, 1988:167).
Vernacular Names: Fawn Hopping Mouse.
Synonyms: Notomys aistoni Brazenor 1934 .
Distribution: Australia; SW Queensland, NW New South Wales, South Australia, and S Northern Territory ( Ellis, 1993; Robinson et al., 2000; Watts, 1995 a:574; Watts and Aslin, 1981:99).
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).
