Lectotype (Gibbs in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 470. 1997): Herb. Burser XXII: 29 ( UPS) .

Current name: Genista germanica L. ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: Gibbs (in Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 27: 70. 1966) simultaneously designated both 892.21 (LINN) and van Royen material (L) as holotypes - an ineffective choice.
