Current name: Geophila repens (L.) I.M. Johnst. ( Rubiaceae ).

Note: A later homonym of P. herbacea Jacq. (1760) and hence illegitimate. Although Verdcourt (in Polhill, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Rubiaceae 1: 110. 1976) stated that the type was “probably” at LINN (No. 231.3), he did not formally designate it as the type.
