Type-locality: Boulengeromyrus knoepffleri – “ Loa-Loa rapids, Ivindo River, 00°27’N, 12°48’E, downstream from Makokou, Gabon ”. Holotype: MRAC 162201. Paratypes: BMNH 1972.12.18.9 (1); MNHN 1987-0884 (3), 1987-0885 (2); MRAC 80-15-P-1-2 (2), 80-15-P-3-5 (1, 1, 1) .
